Cyberbullying
This project was very user friendly and actually enjoyed makiong it, However, I absolutely hate my voice and if my home computer hadn't crashed I probably could've gotten more creative with the transitions, You can view my PSA at my youtube. This project Promotes and Models Digital Citizenship and responsibility.Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices.

Tiny Vs Bitly
How cute itty bitty URLs. These would be great in today's instant messaging media. These would keep everything short and sweet. So far I learned to shorten these in a link. But these would work on text messages as well. I didn't care for the bitly because the account was attached to twitter, which I don't use, but still it's attached to public media. I like to control what I put out there. I signed up for tiny and intend to use this regularly.

Voice thread
This is a fun project, except I absolutley hate my recoreded voice. This could be used in the classroom on those days that the school could be closed for some reason and there is a need to keep class going. This would be good for all computers because of the writting component. The problem would be for those students who don't have computers or live in an area without service. this assignment would meet the ISTE standard #5 Engage in Professional Growth and LeadershipTeachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources.

Power point presentation
I've used power point since it's inception in the 80's. It is a terrific tool, however, it has become quite cumbersome I compare it to Social Security. Was never intended for sole support but has become that way. I found myself using it more and more for my lectures. This has become an experience in editing. You may see my presentaion on Slide Share The competencies include :Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. Personality part duex
Took the Keirsey Temperament Test and I scored exactly as I did on the Meyers-Briggs 6 years ago. I am a guardian. Also an SJ sensative, judgemental. I tend to bre rigid in my deicions and not a real warm fuzzy person. I do stick to my guns and get projects done on time and without mistakes.

Personality Test
Back in the day I took my first personality test. It was the Meyers Briggs Personality Test. I what was cosidered an'SJ' sensitive judgemenalist. After reading the basic Keirsey tempraments, I would say that based on most to least, I would be a guardian, rational, artisan, idealist.I speak mostly of my duties and responsibilities, of what I can keep an eye on and take good care of, and careful to obey the laws, follow the rules, and respect the rights of others. This is a black/white synopsis, and life is full of greys. I really think I am part of all of them. This assignment meets the ISTE goals

Action Research Paper
What a busy week. I haven't written a research paper in years and an APA format none the less. I'm not sure if I did this correctly, but then again it's been awhile. At least this got me into the Master's mode. This assigmemnt met ISTE goals Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership.Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources.

Spread Sheet 2
As I stated previously I use Excel for my grading now. But one thing that I adhere to fairly consistantly is 'KISS' principle of Keep It Simple S(what ever you choose to insert). I don't weigh grades and use straight averages. I think the IF( ) is a terrific tool, if you were doing someone elses's grades or you have hundreds of students. But for myself I like simple. Semester 1 Spreadsheet
Excel spread sheets---brought back memories like a bad LSD trip. I was a researcher for many years and Excel was the wonder kid. It saved incredible amounts of time and is terrific for statistic. I use it constantly now for grades and other points of statistics if ever needed. You can check out my link Semester 1. I'm afraid I used my own way of using the formulas, because after so many years you stick with what works and any short cuts that I have found. I redid the functions for this link Grades1. Unless you are an expert on calculations in Excel as in this is your livelyhood, there was absolutley no instruction as to how to do this.Thank heavens for friends. Google form 1
Pretend you are a student and you are asked to evaluate your progress and make any comments regarding a course. Your instructor will calculate the results and determine what works and what does not work in this course. Most college courses have these and some are actually attached to a merit raise. I use one similar to this for my classes and it is a very useful tool to determine any course of action I may need to take.Thank you so much for your participartion. This will meet ISTE standard #2. Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments.

Executive Summaries and Online graphing tool
This was very interesting assignment. Took me back to my old research days. Massaging data to make myself and my collieges look like we know what we are actually talking about. If this were in real life I would have used much more data. The graphing tool was easy and user friendly. Just need to remember JPG and PDF etc, for downloading. You may view my summaries as well as the graphing tool and my source for data. 4th grade executive summary, 8th grade executive summary, National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) , Graphing Tool

Word Cloud
This was an incredibly easy assignment. It was fun and user friendly and one could spend hours creating all knids of layouts. However I am unable to figure out how this would be useful in my class. You may visit my 'cloud' at Word Cloud. I used the American Assoc. of Resp Care professional statement.I think this would fall into the Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments.

Jing Video
This was very frustrating but with perseverance I prevailed. My video is very short but I would use this in my class to explain how to use google as a research tool. I would also use the audio, but since I do not have that attached to my computer as of yet. It is mute. You can view this at jing video This exercise will promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.
My Picasso Head
This has been the easiest assignment so far. The directions were very clear and user friendly. My kind of site. Picassohead This would definetly follow #1 of the ISTE NETS to facilitate and inspire learning and creativity.
Jing Image
"Jing Graphic" My students need to do a research paper on a specific respiratory disease. I would use this to maximize resources and content to develope knowledge, skills and attitudes . This would provide the students with multiple , varied formative and summerative assessments aligned with content and tech standards use in resulting data to inform learning.

Google Profile
Since elearning is all new to me I choose Ed.Tech Support and Rapid elearning blogs. I found that thre is so much support out there it is mind boggling. Trying to find one that suits my needs is an excursion into uncharted territory.I did explore Qwiki. com and found that to be very interesting, but plain old google is fine for me also.I think if one has the time and energy to explore all the sites one will become a front runner. But as for now, I will stay with the tried and true. I also checked the Rapid elearning blog and in this day and age of instant this and that, this site would be quite helpful. It also had some fine tutorials, that I found interesting. You can find me in Google Profile. You can also follow me on Google Reader.

Philosophy
Goals, assessments, evaluations and outcomes are research. What I plan to do is take the assessment and evaluations and research my outcomes. My goals are to mold unsuspecting adult learners into finely tuned respiratory therapists. To do this, I assess their skills and evaluate what has worked with past classes and what needs improvement. I can change class schedules, lectures and proficiencies to meet the new students’ needs. Then reevaluate and reassess the outcomes and make changes accordingly. It’s a continuing process that changes with the improvements in health care. My goals and outcomes need to match those improvements.

Locus of Control Survey
My score of 14 on the survey puts me in the center of the survey. I am both internal and external. Internal is personal empowerment and have and optimistic outlook. What a better outcome for a teacher who starts each year with students who know absolutely nothing and turning them into competenent respiratory therapists. Talk about power and optimism. The survey also states that I have external outcomes, which leans toward victimized or done to. Not real sure how that figures into things just yet. I'm thinking that this might br something in the past. While taking the survey I had questions re several of the questions. They were not black and white but in a real grey area. I found those to be the 'fillers' I agree with the end results. I have taken the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator survey during my Bach.days. I was an 'SJ" a sensing judgement behavior which falls a little into the empowerment and optimism factors. This awareness of these personal characteristics keeps me up beat and optimistic about my students' progress. I also have the power to control their destiny, which is quite frightening at times so I stay level headed.

Learning styles test
I found I was dead on. I am primarily a physical (kinesthetic) and visual learner.I found that in my field of health careers that hands on and demonstration is the best way to get the point across. In our field we must practice what we preach and must be able to perform in a clinical setting, using equipment that needs to be assembled. The audience doesn't really matter as the field requires audience participation. I have been in the health care field for 25+ years and I never stop learning and the more hand-on demonstartions the better.
Learning styles
I have taken different learning style tests when I was working on my BS in TechEd., although I can't remember their names. However, I found to be a visual, physical and sometimes a social learner. I found through experience that if I can see it and touch it , put it together taking it apart helps with my own learning. I also found that group learning really helps picking other people's brains and their techniques for learning. Over the years I have used most forms of learning, but these are my favorite.
