Spread Sheet 2

As I stated previously I use Excel for my grading now. But one thing that I adhere to fairly consistantly is 'KISS' principle of Keep It Simple S(what ever you choose to insert). I don't weigh grades and use straight averages. I think  the IF( ) is a terrific tool, if you were doing someone elses's grades or you have hundreds of students. But for myself I like simple. You can view my spread sheet at Spread Sheet 2

Semester 1 Spreadsheet

Excel spread sheets---brought back memories like a bad LSD trip. I was a researcher for many years and Excel was the wonder kid. It saved incredible amounts of time and is terrific for statistic. I use it constantly now for grades and other points of statistics if ever needed.  You can check out my link Semester 1. I'm afraid I used my own way of using the formulas, because after so many years you stick with what works and any short cuts that I have found. I redid the functions for this link Grades1. Unless you are an expert on calculations in Excel as in this is your livelyhood, there was absolutley no instruction as to how to do this.Thank heavens for friends. Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and AssessmentsTeachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS•S

Google form 1

Pretend you are a student and you are asked to evaluate your progress and make any comments regarding a course. Your instructor will calculate the results and determine what works and what does not work in this course. Most college courses have these and some are actually attached to a merit raise. I use one similar to this for my classes and it is a very useful tool to determine any course of action I may need to take.Thank you so much for your participartion. This will meet ISTE standard #2. Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments.

Zoomerang Survey

Check out my Baby Boomer survey. Zoomerang Survey This was really fun and quite easy and user friendly. I see using this at the end of each semester as an evalution tool.

Executive Summaries and Online graphing tool

This was very interesting assignment. Took me back to my old research days. Massaging data to make myself and my collieges look like we know what we are actually talking about. If this were in real life I would have used much more data. The graphing tool was easy and user friendly. Just need to remember JPG and PDF etc, for downloading. You may view my summaries as well as the graphing tool and my source for data.  4th grade executive summary,   8th grade executive summary,  National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) , Graphing Tool
This assignment's objective would demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations. And collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation

Word Cloud

This was an incredibly easy assignment. It was fun and user friendly and one could spend hours creating all knids of layouts. However I am unable to figure out how this would be useful in my class. You may visit my 'cloud' at  Word Cloud. I used the American Assoc. of Resp Care professional statement.I think this would fall into the Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments.

Jing Video

This was very frustrating but with perseverance I prevailed. My video is very short but I would use this in my class to explain how to use google as a research tool. I would also use the audio, but since I do not have that attached to my computer as of yet. It is mute. You can view this at jing video This exercise will promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.

My Picasso Head

This has been the easiest assignment so far. The directions were very clear and user friendly. My kind of site. Picassohead This would definetly follow #1 of the ISTE NETS to facilitate and inspire learning and creativity.

Jing Image

"Jing Graphic" My students need to do a research paper on a specific respiratory disease. I would use this to maximize resources and content to develope knowledge, skills and attitudes . This would provide the students with multiple , varied formative and summerative assessments aligned with content and tech standards use in resulting data to inform learning.
